More than 50 years ago, Erich Von Daniken published his arguably most influential piece of work Chariots of the Gods that posited extraterrestrials may have been represented as deities in the days of human antiquity. These figures in ancient mythology possessed advanced knowledge of things like mathematics, medicine, and even flight. The gods were often described as having divine craft that allowed them to travel vast distances over land in mere moments. One example are the vehicles flown by the gods taken from interpretations from Hindu mythology.
