Cash Considerations episodes

  • Zags, Bags & Hot Dogs HERE. THIS IS THE SHOW

This week, the Consig wrote the lineup card, and it said THIS IS THE SHOW.  The boys threw heaters, swung for the fences, and put a little mustard on it.  It’s Dave, Carl and Neuby with the Final 4 & Baseball preview edition of the Cash Considerations Show.

Listen as the boys ran it back for “Layin or Takin” for each of the Final 4 games this weekend.  There’s Zags, Cougars and Bears, Oh My! Listen as Dave, Carl & Neuby give you their sides, totals and eventual champion.  Oral may be gone, but the hoop talk rolls on with Dave on Dogs layin points, Carl on the wrong Bruins and young guy Neuby goin Cougar hunting.

After the NCAA discussion, the trio does the Baseball preview part of the show. It’s Opening Day so there are season wins and division winner predictions.  Does Dave really think the NL Central division leading Pirates can go over 58.5? Did Hascall say the Red Sox will be .500? Will Neuby mush the Phillies? The boys give you their hometown thoughts along with the six division winners like a 6-4-3 double play.

Whether you like baseball or not, you can’t have a baseball discussion without talking about dogs. No, the Consig kids are still not getting a puppy (yet).  Not underdogs, not Bulldogs, but hot dogs HERE.

As the coordinating producer & grill guru of Cash Considerations,  Carl went all Elite Eight in the “Leave it or Eat it” segment of hot dog condiments.  Like a good pepper, it’s spicy, it’s sweet but there is no chili.  Onions make you cry, and the boys might make you shed a tear after you hear this dog dissertation.

The show went extra innings as the trio “Pulled the Goalie (NHL),”  “Played The Song (NBA)“ and “Climbed the Mountain (Mt Rushmore).” You “Heard it Through the Grapevine”, you know “What’s Goin On” So “Let’s Get It On.”

The Take a Minute segment is the Mariano Rivera of closers on the Cash Considerations show, and this week is back to back to back home runs.  Neuby honed his craft with a beer, Carl told Jaws that he hears Jimmy and Dave gave a shout out to the Pap Pap Plays & the 20/20 Club.

  • THIS is the SHOW. Three guys, one ball, and a smokin hot mic for layin or takin. Dave, Carl & Neuby run it back.

This week, the Consig made calls to everybody, but everybody was busy or out talking about March Madness. The boys huddled up, ran the picket fence, and did not get caught watching the paint dry. It’s Dave, Carl and Neuby with the Sweet 16 edition of the Cash Considerations Show.

Listen as the boys went to the old school “Layin or Takin” for each of the NCAA games this weekend. As you listen for which side Dave, Carl and Neuby like in the games, there are a couple total leans, and the fellas aren’t afraid to Chuck it up. Whether it’s the Oral dunk, a Beavers sky hook, or a Bama three from deep, the boys keep shooting while Neuby keeps mushing.

After the NCAA discussion, the trio does the “Pulling the Goalie” segment, acknowledges the make up call and the dangers of a hot mic.   Did Peel get a raw deal? Did Hascall really umpire? Is it a bigger deal because gambling is legal in so many states?

The NBA trade deadline comes and goes, the Sixers beat the Lakers (PLAY THE SONG) and it’s over quick. As the coordinating producer/social media manager, Carl took a couple questions from listeners and did our first CC Q & A. Dave wraps the segment telling you all about the  books he visited & who he ran into at each one (No one is spared).

The Take a Minute segment is everyone’s One Shining Moment on the Cash Considerations show, and what would March Madness be without that? Carl went for the Gold, Neuby couldn’t help but make a Peep, and Dave recognized the “Bucket Boys” before he gave Brother Doug the Final Bell.

  • What numbers do you look at before you make a Daily Wager? Mackenzie Kraemer (@MackNova) joins the Cash Considerations Show

This week, the Consig made a call to Mackenzie Kraemer, the ESPN Stats & Info Researcher for the Daily Wager, to join the Cash Considerations Show. Mack (@MackNova) is a Jersey guy who made his way to Vegas looking at numbers and drops some knowledge on the NCAA tournament with the CC crew.

Listen as Mack tells the boys how he went from Jersey to Villanova to College Gameday to the Daily Wager. Despite his deep loyalty to the New York Jets, Mack was the kid walking around with the Street and Smith’s magazines and quoting stats at games at a young age. Now, whether it’s for the show or the poker table, he knows what the numbers say and where to find out if not.

It’s March, and that means Brackets. Before you fill out yours, listen as Dave, Carl and Neuby get the 411 from Mack in the 702. Make sure you have both a pencil and a pen because you may want to change a pick or two. Conversely, you may end up putting some in pen (Not that Penn or the Palestra) after the boys go through each region.

Who is beating the Zags? How far will Villanova go? How would you do in a poker game with Doug Kezerian and Joe Fortenbaugh? How many brackets do you fill out (Hint: Bet the over)? Kraemer answers all of these questions and more.

The Take a Minute segment is everyone’s One Shining Moment on the Cash Considerations show, and what would March Madness be without that? Neuby gave us his lead pipe lock, Carl was Marvelous, Mack asked Vegas for more and Dave closed the show with a six month celebration about life, family and you, the loyal listeners of the Cash Considerations show.

  • Hey Teach, Can you put a bet in for me? Adam Burns (@BetOnlineBurns) joins the Cash Considerations Show

This week, the Consig had to make a long distance call to Adam Burns, the sportsbook manager at BetOnline.ag to join the Cash Considerations Show. Adam (@BetOnlineBurns) is a Canadian guy who has been in the business for years and has the stories to tell you and the CC Crew.

Listen as Adam tells the boys how he went from teacher to hoops coach to sportsbook trader over some beers and some baseball props. After a vaunted club basketball coaching career that included a 10 day roadie to Las Vegas, Adam became a sportsbook guy taking prop bets from every Joe in the world (except Brooklyn Joe of course).

It’s March, and that means the Madness is here. But everyone has their own memory or favorite One Shining Moment, and Dave, Carl, Neuby & Adam share theirs. Get a good peek behind the curtain as Adam shares a few prop bets that he put up himself & how he has to grade all of them, including some fun Charles Barkley Selection Show Sunday ones.

What was the election betting like? Why did it take so long to grade? What happens to the NBA MVP market when Embid takes a fall for real that isn’t a flop? Burns answers all of these questions and more.

The Take a Minute segment ends every Cash Considerations show, and this week did not disappoint. Carl made his case for what time is the right time, Neuby is the Philly curse, Adam’s class had the ultimate walk off and Dave closed the show with an audio version of Story Time from the Book.

  • Who invited this guy? Sean Green (@seantgreen) joins the Cash Considerations show

This week, the Consig had to make a call and get Sean Green (@seantgreen) to join the Cash Considerations Crew on this week’s podcast.  Sean is a Philly guy, living in LA, the co founder of the Sports Gambling Podcast (@gamblingpodcast) and a TV writer, producer & comedian.

Hear Sean’s story how he went from Philly to Penn State to LA, got into the entertainment industry, doing the grind, and what it’s like to cash for six figures in a fantasy contest while in Las Vegas.

Carl is a bit outnumbered by the PA boys, but between the NBA All Star Game, the NHL “Pulling the Goalie” segment, and the Phillies season win total, the boys got some quality gambling discussions in along with their favorite Philly Special sports memories.

The Take a Minute segment always ends every show, and, unlike the Phillies bullpen, Sean came in like Steve Bedrosian used to and shut the door on another outstanding Cash Considerations episode.

Dave, Carl and Neuby, aka the Consig and Crew, are joined by Todd Dewey (@tdewey33) to chat about his career path & how a kid from Cambridge, Mass ends up in Las Vegas covering sports betting.

Todd tells the boys about jai alai betting, his attempt at beating the book, and what it was like in Pahrump before getting to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

It has a New England feel, but it’s a sports gambling Shamrock Shake that gives you a Larry Legend story, a few Pats & Sox stories, and 33 things in Hascall’s epic Take A Minute to close the show.
