How to Market Yourself in 2024: 3 Key Strategies
If you are struggling to market yourself, there are 3 key strategies you can use to get results.
Focus On Your Ideal Client
It can be uncomfortable selling yourself online.
You might think thoughts like, what are people going to think?
We can't control people's reactions to us, whether it's from an in person interaction, or a social media post.
What we can control is our mindset and intent when we post something.
Instead of thinking about yourself when you post, try shifting your mindset and focusing on the recipient of your post.
Think about how helpful the information will be to the recipient.
Think about what would happen if they didn't have your help.
When I first started posting for Law Practice Queen online, my goal was to help at least one other female lawyer out there with my information.
Now, I've expanded my mentoring practice beyond female lawyers, but the intent is still the same. I want to help entrepreneurs and lawyers build their businesses, and have all the tools and information I have to create wealth and independence.
Try focusing on helping your ideal client with your posts and see what a difference it makes.
Be Consistent
While it can be tempting to jump around and explore many new topics, staying consistent for your audience and focusing on one thing at a time can help you grow your audience faster, and help your audience develop brand recognition.
Think: what problem am I helping my ideal clients solve? And that takes us to the next strategy.
Focus on the Problems You Solve For Your Ideal Client
When you focus on the problems you solve for your ideal client, you are marketing to potential clients that are looking for your solution. They are poised to buy.
When potential clients are searching for a service provider on Google, they are typing their problems in and looking for solutions.
Conduct market research on Google to see how your ideal client is phrasing their particular problem, and you can strategically structure your content to match how they frame their problem.
You can also talk to your audience and potential clients for market research. Your community is an excellent source of content.
I hope you have a happy and healthy rest of your 2023. I am very grateful for you as an audience member. Please share this episode with someone you think could benefit from it.

Here are three ways that you can get clients online in 2024:
How to Get Google Reviews for Your Business
First, you will need to verify your business on Google. This involves verifying that you are the authorized owner of your Google My Business profile.
By getting Google reviews for your business, it will help potential clients decide to work with you by providing "social proof." Social proof is evidence from other clients that your services deliver the results the potential client is seeking.
Blogs
Blog articles on your website targeted at answering your potential client's problems will direct clients to contact you for your services. Through Search Engine Optimization (SEO), your blog articles can get you new clients.
Newsletters
Email newsletters are a great way to stay top of mind for your audience and consistently pitch offers to assist them. Start with a newsletter cadence that is sustainable for you, such as monthly or every three weeks. You can always increase the number of newsletters, but in the beginning, your goal is to not break the chain and stay consistent.

You know the feeling.
You are calling a potential client back who is interested in your services, and you are nervous.
Thoughts run through your mind like:
Am I smart enough to work with this person?
Am I cut out for this?
Do I have what it takes?
How would it feel instead to:
Get on a sales call with confidence, calm and composure?
Not take it personally when a potential client decides not to hire you?
Katie Lipp, Owner of Lipp Law and Law Practice Queen Business Coaching, walks you through strategies that will boost your sales call skills and confidence, save your precious time, and grow your business.
Are You Scared to Start a Business or Try Something New?
Starting a business, or trying something new in your life can be really scary.
You might think that you have to get over the fear before you can move forward with starting your business, or trying something new.
Or, you might judge yourself for being scared, and compare yourself to others that may not have these same fears.
A helpful three-part exercise you can do if you are facing fears around starting a business, or trying something new in your life is to:
1) Know that Fear is a NORMAL part of the process of starting something huge like a new business.
2) Accept the Fear.
3) Allow Room for Flexibility in your Plan.
Fear is a normal part of starting a new business, and you can still move forward with taking action, even if you are scared.
A common misconception about starting a business is that once you start the business, your fears will go away, or you will "conquer" your fear completely. The reality is that we all have fears that come up at different stages of our journey, and that's completely normal.
Katie goes through this 3-part exercise in depth to guide you through your business beginning and help you grow with flexibility and support.

How can quitting something accelerate your business success?
Sometimes in our businesses, we can feel stuck, unmotivated, or wanting to give up.
While we want to continue serving our ideal clients and continuing with our business vision from a high level, I want to give you permission to:
-Redirect
-Let it be fun
-Let yourself explore
You started a business in order to be creative, make your mark on the world, and set yourself apart. If you are feeling uninspired to finish a particular project, give yourself permission to quit as an option.
In this business life, it's you working on you. There's no need to force yourself to continue working on something if you don't feel called to do so.
It's time to take the pressure off, get creative, and do some soul searching.
Try going back to your "why" for your business to see if this particular project is what you want to continue with.
