DM super fan Joel Tibbett returns to the show to break down this landmark album track by track, discuss the many cover versions of the song Personal Jesus, and even go over the famous (or infamous) Wherehouse Record Store incident which occurred just one day after the album was released 35 years ago.
We're traveling back in time 35 years ago to the month and year of March, 1990, to celebrate noteworthy anniversaries for two of my all time favorite entertainment projects, the first live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and Depeche Mode Violator! The turtles will be up first, with Violator up next week. Friend of the show Jeremy Moyes returns to discuss our love of all things Ninja Turtles, memories of watching this move as 9 year old kids, and dissecting favorite scenes of this early 90's classic!
To conclude our review of Cobra Kai's final season, Danny Pineda returns to discuss everything that went down in the final 5 episodes of the show. Johnny's story coming to a conclusion, where the Miyagiverse might go from here, and why we joined this show so much are just a few of the topics we cover in this week's episode. Cobra Kai never dies!!
Your six time MLS Cup Champions the LA Galaxy are about to begin the 30th season of Major League Soccer and to commemorate the occasion, LA Galaxy super fan Tim Welling returns to the show to reminisce on the 2024 championship win, discussion recent team departures and arrivals, quickly preview the upcoming 2025 season, and talk about Galaxy legend Cobi Jones getting his own statue at Dignity Health Sports Park.
With the Super Bowl behind us, it's time to do the annual tradition of discussing the game extensively. Tyler Ivancich makes his return to the show to discuss the Eagles victory, the halftime performance of Kendrick Lamar, commercials and movie trailers such as Jurassic World: Rebirth and the last Mission: Impossible movie, and what we did for food.
Making his first appearance on the show, Sami Haddad joins me to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the most beloved high school movies of all time, the Breakfast Club. We go over important scenes from the movie and discuss how relatable the story and characters are, regardless of what generation you are from.
Skeleton Crew just wrapped up on Disney+ and friend of the show, Eddie Ramirez returns to discuss the show at length. Our thoughts and impressions of the show (all positive) are discussed, as well as easter eggs and deep cuts into Star Wars history. Finally, we do address the elephant in the room of the low ratings the show received and our hope that Skeleton Crew might turn things around for the Star Wars brand.
The show is back for another new episode! This week I cover Captain EO. All the fond memories I had watching this Disney attraction at the Park and the history behind this fan favorite movie. I also cover recent entertainment news such as Nintendo unveiling the Switch 2, trailers for the new Superman movie and Daredevil Born Again, and the recent off season signings for the Dodgers. Nathan Wolfe, Eddie Ramirez, and Steven Cable join me with prerecorded comments on these various entertainment stories.
Happy 2025! After a brief hiatus, we are back with the first new episode of the year. My wife Allison returns and we are joined by the Cable's, Steven and Holly, to reflect back on the year that was 2024. Favorite moments, personal achievements, and the year in entertainment are all discussed.
For the final episode for 2024, Marcello Ambriz returns to help celebrate the 45th anniversary of one of Rock n' Roll's greatest albums ever, the Clash's London Calling. We go over all nineteen songs on this landmark album and discuss various topics concerning the band, including the iconic album cover.
