  • Castle Talk: Zack Akers, Skip Bronkie and Cote Smith, authors of Limetown: The Prequel
In 2015, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie launched the Limetown podcast, about an NPR-style reporter investigating the mass disappearance at a corporate town in Tennessee. On the iTunes homepage, the podcast went to the #1 US slot—topping This American Life and Serial. With its cult following, Season two is now here, along with a TV adaptation with Facebook Watch in production, with Jessica Biel confirmed to produce and star. Now Simon & Schuster has released LIMETOWN: The Prequel, by Cote Smith, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. The book is goes back in time to tell the stories of both Lia’s adolescence and her Uncle Emile’s—and how his strange psychological condition entangled their family in mysterious and dangerous research. This exhilarating, completely original prequel takes readers back to the beginning and opens a whole new dimension of the Limetown universe. The LIMETOWN prequel is an addictive entry point for a new audience, and an explosive new layer of the story for existing fans of the podcast. We chat about the creation of this and every version of Limetown.

  • Castle Talk: Elliot Feld, director of Killer Kate!
In Killer Kate! Which comes out in theaters and VOD on October 26, soon-to-be-bride Angie invites her estranged sister Kate to her bachelorette party held at a remote house booked on a home-sharing app. The women are unaware that by booking this house, they’re walking into a trap set in motion by a disturbed family of amateur killers who are out for blood to right a cosmic wrong. They soon become unwitting participants in a savage and often ridiculous life-or-death struggle that pits family against family, and past against present. The trailer is up and it’s extremely exciting, and its director is Elliot Feld, making his directorial debut. He says the family-versus-family thriller film was inspired by many of the low budget flicks of the 1970’s & 1980’s.
