"Purr" is one of the very few sunny songs on the Overcome album. This song is actually a very positive one. It's like a ray of light shining through the thick darkness of this album. In this episode, I'm talking about the contents of it and giving a little bit of music analysis.

"Everything's Fine" is definitely one of the heaviest and—in its own way—one of the darkest songs on the entire Overcome album. Perhaps, this comes from its sense of desperation as well as the energy of the music. In this episode, I'm talking about the origins of this song and am giving a general analysis of its musical content. Dive in.

"Running Overture" from the very midst of the Overcome album is a rather peculiar experience: it starts out in a very classical symphonic place but then "transitions" into something absolutely different, something much heavier. In this episode, I'm explaining the meaning behind this song and its overall significance for the Overcome album. I'm also providing whatever music analysis I could give in the context of this podcast.

"Perish" from the Overcome album marks the lowest and darkest point not only on the album itself but also in my life. I've been suffocating in a pit of despair at the time, back in 2006. This is what this song has been born out of. In this episode, I'm giving some background and music analysis for this song.
