Backstab is not an easy piece of music to talk about. It has a lot of history to it, and a lot of darkness attached to it. However, I found it necessary to tell the story of this piece, what was it born of, and why. Context is important! I'm also giving some music analysis, so it might be interesting for those folks who are just getting started with music.

In this episode, I'm breaking down the premise and the backstory for one of Overcome's most straightforward songs called "Shut Up!". On an album like this, it's almost impossible to expect a more or less standard song, and yet... here we are!

Sunrise Overture is the 3rd song on the Overcome album, it is also the first one to feature a full-blown long-form complex structure. Even Tower Call gets overshadowed by the massive 17 and a half-minute leviathan of a song. In this episode, I'm talking about the creation of this piece and give a basic analysis of the music aspects.

Damned Experiment is the second track on the Overcome album. It ruthlessly rages forward from the very first bar and until the last one, it's vicious, wild, and unapologetic. In this episode, I'm telling a few stories behind this song and give some basic music analysis of the piece.

Overcome is a massive super-album, and the very first opening piece called "Tower Call" is a truly monstrous piece of music which I found very difficult to cram into one podcast episode: there way too much going on musically, thematically, and of course, I had to lay out the premise for this album and tell the stories and provide context for it.

Adieu (Coherence Dissolution) marks an important point on the Seraphic Tears album. This is when Lilith breaks up with Adam and dashes away into the night never to be captured by Adam again. In this episode, I'm giving some context to the story and trying to provide a comprehensive analysis of the song.
