Zainab Bolodale was just twenty when she became a news reporter for RTÉ via their kids news show News2Day. These days you'll see her on Nationwide, or indeed on bookshelves via her new YA novel Braids Take a Day. It was a real pleasure to chat to her about her career, Nigerian culture, going your own way in terms of career and, of course, her book.

After the heaviness of Monday's news episode, I'm happy to report that the stories from the world of entertainment are largely light this week. We say goodbye to James Earl Jones, chat about Beyoncé being snubbed by the Country Music Awards, Heidi Klum's incredible privilege (imagine having the space to have a designated sex closet?!?) and lots more.

You probably know Emma Doran as a comedian, you've probably seen her on Amazon Prime's Last Man Laughing, or via her viral social media videos, or through her stand up gigs or whatever you're having yourself. Now, she's also an author. Her book, Mad, Isn't It?, shares her youth in Dublin, experience of becoming pregnant at eighteen, and building the lovely life she has now. It's really funny, but it also acknowledges a lot of the less funny experiences women our age had as we attempted to find our place in the world. I loved it, and loved having the opportunity to talk to her about it this week. I hope you do too.

This week Cassie Delaney and I chat through the latest in pop culture developments from Coldplay's impact to Angelina Jolie's return to the big screen, Sabrina Carpenter's need to talk about Barry Keoghan's schlong and lots more besides.

Carl Kinsella and I start this week's news episode with some heavy moustache discourse triggered by some personal devlopments in Carl's life, but then we get into the meaty stuff. Carl catches us up on what's been going on in Palestine, both in Gaza and the West Bank, we discuss the protests around Dundrum House in Tipperary, fake news, Ticketmaster scandals and I have a lot to say about anti-fat discrimination.

This week I catch up with James Kavanagh and William Murray about their new podcast and how things are going as they make the transition from city to rural life. We talk about whether they'll survive a winter, and William shares the most beautiful story of connecting to his mother via their new home.

This is a long episode but there really was so much to discuss. Emer McLysaght is our shepherd through this week's entertainment stories and they are beefy. Having just returned from the final gig of Taylor Swift's final stop on the European leg of the eras tour, she had a lot to say on that, and we obviously had to get into the Oasis reunion (with a special audio note from Sarah Breen, probably Ireland's biggest Oasis fan). We also discuss Chappell Roan's refusal to accept stalking and harrassment as part of her job, Lily Allen's doggy drama and lots more besides.

Lots of news today but unfortunately not much of it is happy. Carl Kinsella and I discuss the DNC, the arrest of Telegram's CEO in Paris, the latest in Gaza, and the death of Nell McCafferty and lots more.

I'm always really impressed by people who manage to turn an idea into a success and love grilling them on how it happened, so I've wanted to chat to Ciaran Gaffney, aka Gaff, of Seanchoiche for a while. Seanchoiche is a storytelling event you'll probably be familiar with my now as it's been such a success in Ireland, at festivals and internationally. I grilled Gaf on the origins of Seanchoiche, how he got Maude Apatow on the Seanchoiche podcast and lots more besides.
