This week Kevin enters his glasses era after discovering he has astigmatism and the lads spend a significant amount of time unpacking what this means for him personally, professionally and spiritually. While the realisation has shaken him slightly, mainly because it has forced him to confront the fact that youth is perhaps not as close as it once was, there are upsides. Chief among them is the discovery that wearing glasses may actually improve his flirting success rate.

For the theme, Kevin and PJ dive into dating horror stories. From a girl whose date casually drove off in her car for twenty minutes leaving her stranded on a country road, to a man who spent an entire date aggressively eating wedges with greasy hands and an alarming number of ketchup sachets, the lads weigh in on the red flags, the survival tactics and the lessons learned.

This week Kevin and PJ recount a tasting menu experience in Lisbon. While they fully respect the ethos of zero-waste restaurants, the lads admit that tackling fermented everything while severely hungover was not their finest moment and the very modest portion sizes did little to lift spirits.

The boys are in Lisbon and as gorgeous as the city is Kevin takes a moment to criticise all the hills and cobbled roads that resulted in him falling off a Lime scooter en route to a Crossfit class. PJ reminisces on his chaotic 18th birthday party where fake IDs and stray fists were in plentiful supply. Prompted by this episode coming out on Blue Monday the lads have a discussion about made up holidays and ask why January is such a depressing month and Kevin puts forward a bid for dry January to be changed to a dry November going forward because the month is already horrendous enough as it is. This Christmas Kevin and PJ are back home in Cork for a very special charity episode recorded with Cork Penny Dinners. They sit down with General Manager Sharon Murphy to chat about the history of the charity and the incredible work it does not just at Christmas, but 365 days of the year. From providing hot meals to those who need them most, to expanding into a full community hub on James Street where people can learn IT skills and take part in social inclusion programmes, Cork Penny Dinners is at the heart of the city. Kevin and PJ also run around meeting some of the volunteers and big personalities who keep everything ticking and even get involved in a Christmas singalong.
