E16: Interview with Sean Picton
Sean Picton is the Response Team Inspector for the Royal Gibraltar Police, he runs his own business called The Hero Coach, and is host of The Hero Help Desk Podcast. In this episode with Sean, we talk about navigating the chaos of life and leadership.
In our conversation we discussed using skill development as a tool for moving through and out of depression, embracing diversity in workplaces, evolution of culture and evolution of leaders. Sean also discussed strategies that he has successfully used to navigate through the challenges he faces in life and as a leader.
We also touch a little on mindset and the importance of continuity of character, decisions and ethics and how those allow us to give a standardised service as a leader. I loved the quote from Sean on Mindset – "mindset to our brains is like oil to a car and the better quality oil you have in the engine the longer and more efficient it will run"
