Song of Prayer, Part 6, Forgiveness-to-Destroy, Satsang with Cate Grieves, 6MAR22
Cate begins this Satsang reinforcing that our true Self is infinite Love. She encourages everyone that practicing forgiveness leads to an experience of being the joy of joy…the happiness living in the happiness…the infinite peace in the infinite peacefulness of God.
Cate reminds everyone that this path does take a lot of dedication. You don’t have to give up anything, though, you just do it with forgiveness. You can still do everything you enjoy doing.
Cate & Shannon then read through the Forgiveness-to-Destroy section of the Song of Prayer. In this section, Jesus gives us all the ways the ego comes in so we can see where we do it. He says right in the beginning of this section, “Forgiveness-to-destroy has many forms, being a weapon of the world of form.”
Cate really shines a light on what these forms are and gives clear examples of how they show up in our experiences.
Here are the forms that Jesus describes in this section:
1. “…a “better” person deigns to stoop to save a “baser” one from what he truly is.”
2. “…here is one whose sinfulness he shares, since both have been unworthy and deserve the retribution of the wrath of God.”
3. “…those who seek the role of martyr at another’s hand.”
4. “I will forgive you if you meet my needs, for in your slavery is my release.”
Jesus then says toward the end of this section, “All forms forgiveness takes that do not lead away from anger, condemnation and comparisons of every kind are death.” Cate expands on this and shares how we can watch our mind to see if any of these specific things are there and let them go.
Then Cate takes the group through two meditations. The first is from the last few sentences of this section. The second is from Lesson 37, “My holiness blesses the world.” Cate also suggests at the end to practice blessing the world with our holiness anytime we remember to do so. This opens up true Vision as we practice it.
Thank you to everyone who joined!
Blessings!
