Sam is back in her office, preparing to alert her staff about the newest victim. There is concern amongst the deputies, not just about the possible return of a serial killer, but also about the fact they may have to take a backseat to the FBI. Sam’s feelings on that subject are mixed. 

Following a restless night punctuated by recurring nightmares, she returns to the office to work with her right-hand assistant, Abdi as they learn more about Bitsy Newsome, the latest victim of their elusive killer.
