In today’s show, co-hosts Deacon Richard Hudzik and Deacon Dave Brencic interview Archdiocese of Chicago Deacon Dan Coughlin. Deacon Dan was recently appointed to serve at the Cardinal’s liaison to the Archdiocese’s lay ecclesial communities. The conversation explores what these movements are, why they are a blessing to the Church and how one might find out more about these groups. Some are well-known in Chicago—the Cursillo, the Charismatic Renewal Movement, Regnum Christi, Focolare, Escuela de la Cruz and many others. The movements, associations of lay people who seek to enter more deeply into their faith and be committed to life in the Church, are concrete instances of the Holy Spirit alive and converting us ever deeper. Information about these communities are on the Archdiocese’s website at https://www.archchicago.org/offices-and-ministries/lay-ecclesial-movements
