Catholic Ignatian Marian Spirituality with Fr. Ed Broom, OMV

Father Ed Broom on the First Friday of the Month asks us to make a Communion of Reparation for the five sins that offend the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus as revealed by Our Lady of Fatima and explained here by Father Ed.

St. Paul says,  “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” How often does that describe us! The reason for this is found in the Seven Capital Sins. Father Ed Broom gives a thorough catechesis on the Capital Sins – what they are, where they come from, and how we can avoid them.

This homily is for couples getting married,  couples planning on getting married, and couples already married! Father Ed Broom instructs a couple getting married on how to have a solid marriage and a great marriage! One of the greatest communicators in the last century, Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, wrote  a book “It Takes Three to Get Married” – the husband, wife, and Jesus Christ! Father Ed shares some ways that a couple can put that book into practice.

In his 40 years of ministry it is estimated that he personally catechized and baptized 300,000 slaves.
