What you feed yourself mentally is just as important as the food you feed your body. How many times do you feed your mind and your heart with negativity? It happens in very subtle ways so you may not even be aware of it. In this podcast I share what I did when I realized one of my daily activities was draining me and leaving no room to do a different activity that actually made me feel good. I was able to free up the space I needed to let the good stuff in. The reality is that today's world is intense to live in and you need to do anything that can help you lighten up and lift you up. It doesn't have to be hard either, simple changes will make a huge impact. Sometimes being nice doesn't look "nice". We get programmed that nice means you have to be considerate of everybody else and never hurt other peoples feelings with the expectation that you ignore your feelings and needs. This actually drains our energy and is not very helpful to others or you. There are times when you need to be nice to yourself by being firm with others and it can be uncomfortable. In this episode I give you a few suggestions of what you can do when you need to stay true to yourself by being nice in a totally different way. If this triggers you or you would like some additional guidance on how to be nicer to you please contact me clicking on the following link https://happytappygirl.com/contact-me/ Enjoy!
It's been well over a year and I am back in the saddle and ready to help you find more ways to give yourself Self-Care and reconnect to yourself. I've taken care of myself and now I want to help you take care of you :).....watch out, I may swear a bit more in these podcasts. Passionate times call for passionate words and now is not the time to sugarcoat. The first step in self-care is being honest and using words that reflect how you feel (without vomiting them on to someone else of course). I also added a short music intro and outro for extra fun and excitement. It makes my heart smile. Looking forward to being with you again. ** 5 Minute Meditation at the end of this episode. In this episode I talk about how important it is to let go of stress that isn't yours. I also explain how to do this in very fast and easy way and include a 5 minute meditation to help you let go of what isn't yours and reclaim what is. It can be done standing, seated or laying down. I do not recommend if you are driving, operating machinery or doing anything that requires your focused attention. You are responsible for you. In this episode I talk about how using affirmations as a form of self-care can be easy and effective. I explain my history with affirmations and despite how I had gotten away from using them, they have been helpful to me in more recent months. I also talk about how you can feel both "negative" and "positive" at the same time which we often forget. Listen in to get a boost of love :).
