Here’s the announcement for the next book we’ll be discussing. The way we’re going to cover this one is a little different than the ones we’ve done in the past. It’ll be a miracle – if we ever get through it. It’ll take someone with a Keener eye for sure.

In our final episode on Christian Ethics – 4 Views, we cover the issues against Woke Theology from both the Natural Law & Divine Command response. Both responders have three big issues with Prophetic Ethics even if there is some agreement with the theory. Thanks for joining us with this book. What did you think? How was the format? Did one side convince you over the others? Stay tuned for our trailer for our next book.

With the final critique of our four ethics we end with the Virtue Ethics’ response to Prophetic Ethics. A very important point made is how Woke Theology needs proper hermeneutics. There is a missing element, according to Virtue Ethics that Woke Theology has and without it it lets other narratives come in and fill the missing elements with something else and it doesn’t even have to be Christian.

The final 21 books of 2024 in review. It’s not about how many you read but that you’re reading good books…but also I read to my goal and past it *neener neener neener*! Also, my apologies to anyone whose name I mispronounced. I’m a reader, not a pronouncer. See ya next week as we finish our book on Christian ethics!

We need just a couple more weeks to conclude our Christian ethics book so here are Patrick’s book reviews from 2024. Biography and Indiepub heavy, it was overall a good reading year with just a few bad choices. Have you read any of these or pick any up?

Finishing up the presentation on the Prophetic Ethics (Woke Theology), we cover the method of the movement. Here, there’s a call for a new social justice Monastic period. One that acknowledges the racism of America and embrace MLK’s call to redeem society and Bonhoeffer’s finding power in a Black Jesus.

For our final model of ethics we cover Prophetic Ethics. Here the model is focused not so much on personal ethics but societal ethics. Thus social justice is the ethos for the Christian. Patrick – he…he just doesn’t do that good of a job on being objective here. Tony is always the professional though.

This week we cover with the final two outlooks that do more disagreeing with Divine Command Ethics than Virtue Ethics did. Here, Natural Law Ethics presents some interesting considerations. The Prophetic Ethics…well, there’s a reason I call it Woke Theology.

We start the response of our third Christian ethical system by having the Virtue Ethics responding to Divine Command Ethics. Here, our V.E. fellow has many good things to say about the D.C. fellow. Three minor issues that could use some shoring up but a major one is leveled. Do you think this knocks out Divine Command Ethics from contention?
