Today, whatever happened to photo booths - you know, those small boxes that you'd sit in to get your picture taken, that would then print out strips of photographs? They used to be common in shopping malls, but now, they're difficult to come by. Kelly Drover is a long-time photo booth enthusiast.

From the "riggle rod" to the "wattle," and the "picket" to the "paling"...traditional Newfoundland fences all have their own unique function and style. Nearly every house had a traditional wooden fence years ago...but they aren't as common now. Andrea O'Brien is an outreach officer with Heritage NL.

June is Pride month, and CBC Newfoundland Morning's "People You Should Know" series focuses on members of the LGBTQ+ community in NL. Elliott Blackmore is a 17-year-old Memorial University student, originally from Grand Falls-Windsor. At the age of twelve, Elliott told the world he was transgender. His 'coming out' was possible - in part - thanks to his incredibly supportive family and support network - not to mention some pretty incredible bravery.

A violent night that followed years of struggle and failure. That’s how Amanda Antle describes a fatal shooting she witnessed in Grand Falls-Windsor in June. Her ex-boyfriend, Roy Freake, was killed by police in her house. As the CBC's Garrett Barry tells us, Antle doesn’t blame the officers - she blames a system that she says let Roy Freake down.
