Creation and the Cross.

Jesus said 7 distinct things from the cross. The last thing said in John's gospel was three simple words, "It is finished." These three words connect back to God's response to sin in Genesis 3 and the fall of mankind. A statement was made and a shadow was shown, both a foretaste of Jesus. What was promised by God was accomplished by Christ on the cross. What was needed for your salvation was paid by him. This would be the greatest of victories, but one that came at the gravest cost.
