Spiritual self-awareness as a believer in Jesus means living in tune with God. It does not mean seeing others with eyes, listening to others with ears, and then responding with a judgmental attitude based on what we see and hear. None of us are as righteous as we think we are.

We honor the women who have sheltered us. We thank the ones who clucked, and cried, and charged, and comforted.

If Jesus enters your heart this Sabbath morning because you have left the door even slightly ajar, please, please do not chase Him out when you leave church. Take Him home with you. Don’t force Christ to find other quarters because you refuse to pay the mere pittance He asks of you.

Jesus Christ physically died and physically rose back to life giving us His body and blood as payment for sin all predicted by Passover.

The death of Jesus is the central thought, intention, and focus of the classic "The Old Rugged Cross." The death of Jesus is a worthy topic for a worship song because the death of Jesus is central to our faith.

The song we will focus on is the worst hymn that has ever been produced (IN MY OPINION). Why is this hymn the worst? This hymn is the worst because it teaches incorrect theology about Jesus Christ.

Worship is a complete attitude and direction of our hearts and minds towards God.

This hymn brings me to two very important questions: #1 Since Jesus is alive, what is He doing? #2 What if I don’t feel Him in my heart?
