Some of the most important decisions that we make in life are the ones that we make when we're suffering or in pain. In Psalm 109: 21-22, David acknowledges that he is hurting, and he asks God for help. When we are hurting, it is easy to err. Here is a list of “Please Don’ts and Do’s” for when you are in pain.

1. Don't ignore your hurt.

2. Don't run from it.

3. Don't hide.

4. Don't quit or give up.

5. Do entrust Jesus with your pain.

6. Do entrust your hurt with those who God sends to support.

Often times when our parents or authority figures try to give us advice, we ignore or reject it. We see the same thing happen with Jesus and the disciples. Jesus has a “Dad Talk” with his disciples to try to explain how they can receive all that God has for them (John 4: 27-38, NIV).

If we’re not careful, we can assume that all religions are the same, that all roads lead to God. Let’s ask the question today: do all roads lead to God?

Romans 12:11 tells us to “keep our spiritual fervor.” Keeping our passion for God is a choice. Jesus kept his zeal throughout the hardest week that any human could endure, the week of his crucifixion.

The power of living to the max is in recognizing the power of living in the precious present. We have to decide to live in the “now” today (Psalm 118:24, NKJV).

In John 2:1-12, we see Jesus perform his first miracle--turning water into wine. Why did Jesus choose this miracle as the first miracle, and what is the fruit of it?

There is a proper place that God has designed for you to steward (Deuteronomy 12:5). You are not where you’re at today by accident--you’ve either lost your place, you’ve been misplaced, you’ve left your place, or you are completely surrendered to the place that God has called you to be.

Surrender is not a one-time event, but a regular part of a believer’s life. We look to the example of Jesus to see the stages, challenges, and outcomes of a surrendered life (John 19:30 NIV).
