Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. (Deuteronomy 28:47&48)

Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Today we begin a ten-week series on one of Pastor Ken’s favorite books in the Bible, Deuteronomy.  

Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commandments always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! (Deuteronomy 5:29)  

FIRE! The word appears in Deuteronomy twenty-six times, seven times in today’s text. “The Lord is a consuming fire” says Moses in chapter 4, a claim repeated in Hebrews 12.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)  

You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (Psalm 16:11)

Today we conclude our series “New Life in Christ.” Our text is Romans 8:31-39, a rhetorical masterpiece that sums up this whole middle section of “the greatest letter ever written.” 

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37

From March 27, 2022  We do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit intercedes for us. (Romans 8:26)  The Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. (Romans 8:27)
