This week we look at our motivations for being kind, and examples from Jesus found in the gospels. We looked at how we are called to be like Jesus in being "kinder than necessary" to everyone, without condescension, even when we don't feel like it--because we are children of God.

Today we celebrate the season of Epiphany and reflect on how the baby born in Bethlehem begins his life-work as an adult in Galilee. We will look at the implications for ourselves in terms of the opportunity presented by disruption, our need for enlightenment, the value of finding a rhythm in life, and the need for perseverance.

We gathered together for a candle-lit service of readings, prayers and traditional carols. We welcome you to join us in celebrating the joy and meaning of Christmas.
