Simon Pegg might have only had a tiny role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as junk boss Unkar Plutt, but it still resulted in one of the best days of his life. 

Pegg admitted as much during a recent in-depth interview about his career with Vanity Fair, as working on the blockbuster gave him the opportunity to spend time with Carrie Fisher.

“I started going down to the set and I got all my makeup design and met everybody, and being around that set was just amazing for me as a fan of Star Wars growing up, ‘cause it felt very much like the Star Wars I grew up with.”

After Carrie Fisher's sudden death in December 2016, the 'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' were heartbroken and left with a dilemma. The film was supposed to see Fisher at the forefront, placing her in the spotlight, but now everything had to be rewritten again.

In an interview with Vanity Fair after the wrapping of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi', producer Kathleen Kennedy said, “The minute she [Fisher] finished, she grabbed me and said, ‘I’d better be at the forefront of IX!’ Because Harrison was front and center on VII and Mark is front and center on VIII. She thought IX would be her movie. And it would have been.”

Apple TV+ is celebrating fatherhood in all shapes and forms this Father’s Day with a special documentary simply titled, “Dads.” The film will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform June 19 and takes a look at the joys, struggles and all the emotions in between that come with having kids and what it means to be a father.

Verzuz is set to celebrate Juneteenth with a special edition featuring R&B icons Alicia Keys and John Legend. Juneteenth is an American holiday commemorating June 19, 1865, the day the last of the enslaved African Americans in the Confederacy were emancipated. The day, also called Freedom Day, Jubilee Day and Cel-Liberation Day, saw Union soldiers led by General Gordon Granger make their way to Galveston, Texas, to read out federal orders declaring the war was over and all who were enslaved were now free.

Prince Harry is beginning to find his feet in Los Angeles after being taken under the wing of Liza Minnelli, according to reports.

The Duchess of Sussex's mother is helping out the couple as they are trying to become financially independent after their move to the United States.

According to Daily Mail, Meghan Mark has moved in her mother into the £8million mansion which she and Prince Harry are renting in Los Angeles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly looking to buy a home in the famous celebrity neighbourhood.

There were reports last month that the couple is looking at a sprawling £10 million mansion in Los Angeles. 

Life took a troubling turn for Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans and husband, David Eason. Despite reuniting earlier in 2020 following a year of drama that included their firing by MTV following the death of family dog Nugget, things have once again taken a violent turn. According to her statement and follow-up tweet, Evans is once again looking for an exit from her marriage.

Eason's arrest comes after an altercation between Evans, her friends and her husband over the keys to his pickup truck. Eason allegedly hit one of the male friends with a pistol, reportedly injuring his back and neck. Evans is currently staying with relatives but updated her fans and followers on her situation while making it clear that she's finished with Eason.

The first season of Netflix’s Space Force doesn’t take long to binge. The series, which stars Steve Carell as Mark Naird, the first general of the Space Force and the man in charge of putting American troops on the moon, is 10 episodes total, with each episode clocking in at roughly half an hour long. Spike Lee has offered an apology for his defence of filmmaker Woody Allen. He apologised for his comments from his Twitter handle and said, explicitly, that his words were “wrong.”

Lee’s tweet read, “I Deeply Apologize. My Words Were WRONG. I Do Not And Will Not Tolerate Sexual Harassment, Assault Or Violence. Such Treatment Causes Real Damage That Can’t Be Minimized.-Truly, Spike Lee.”
