"God-Shaped Self or Self-Shaped God?"
Exodus 34:4-10

For Moses to discover and "live in to his true self," he must first grow to know the LORD, as He truly is and not simply as Moses might wish Him to be. Moses needs knowledge ABOUT the LORD that comes FROM the LORD as the foundation for his own life. From that foundation, Moses can begin to live out his life as a leader, an intercessor and a friend of God, and so can we.

"Bringing Life into Focus"
Luke 4:14-21

Through the course of life, our vision of all sorts of things can be blocked or distorted by all sorts of causes. The Good News is that Jesus has been anointed to bring recovery of all sorts of sight problems to all who look to Him in hope and through Him to our world and calling.

"How The Gospel Conquers Poverty"
Luke 4:16-21

Jesus presents Himself as the Anointed One of God who will deliver Good News to the poor. This is not so much a message that those who lack money and what it brings can now have more money than they ever imagined. Rather, Jesus establishes a new Kingdom that re-values everything in His creation. Every “lack” - whether financial, emotional, relational or physical - is met and transformed by the abundance of His Grace; just as He has intended from the beginning.

"Good News of Great Joy: Anointed for Mission"
Luke 4:16-21

In the church calendar, we spend 4 Sundays preparing to celebrate the Birth of Jesus the Messiah. In human history, God spent a dozen or so centuries! As it turns out, the birth of the baby that was so long anticipated, is just the beginning of the next campaign in God’s mission to redeem and restore all that He gave life to!

"You Don't Have To Build Alone"
Matthew 7:24-29

Imagine getting to apprentice with a master craftsman as he includes you in building the house that he dreams of for you. Tested by the storms of life, such a house would stand as a testament to that craftsman's ability as well as his love for you and would be an attractive invitation to others to become an apprentice as well.

"How Can I Get There From Here?"
Matthew 7:13-23

It seems that each of us can find within us a desire of the heart to get THERE from HERE. We sense that we are where we are at in life - HERE in middle school, a desperate relationship, a life that is now more behind us than ahead of us - but there is a yearning to get to something better and more authentic - THERE where there is security, reconciliation and hope.

"Prayer & Practice"
Matthew 7:7-12

How much more! With this memorable analogy of an earthly father’s love, Jesus teaches us that we can expect an answer not because of the form, technique or intensity that we use but because of the character of the God that we are praying to.

"Let The Judge Of All The Earth Do The Judging"
Matthew 7:1-6

My world often reminds me that Jesus said, "Do not judge." But what if the world is using the words of Jesus while completely missing the meaning of Jesus? Could there be a difference between hurling condemnation on others and receiving wisdom for ourselves in order to avoid harmful consequences?
