Tensions remain high between Celtic fans and the club, but as of tonight the story has taken a new twist with the club reaching out to supporters, offering a meeting at the beginning of next week to discuss the ongoing unrest at this time.

In conjunction with the Celtic Fans Collective, supporters have now accepted this offer and will look to make progress following recent protests.
On that note, the planned silences against Braga and Motherwell have now been cancelled!

This crucial update broke as we were recording and so we were able to give our most up to date thoughts on the development.

We also preview tomorrow's all important Europa League clash with Braga as Brendan Rodgers' men look to get their first win on the board in what's been another dramatic week in Celtic. And it's only Wednesday!

Although the stats can often paint a different picture, the only numbers that truly matter in football are goals scored and goals conceded. For Celtic (and Hibs), both columns stayed blank as Brendan Rodgers’ side played out another goalless draw this season.

Unsurprisingly, many fans have voiced their frustration at the result. And while it was disappointing not to claim all three points, there are still clear reasons for optimism after this latest outing from a new look Celtic side.

Should we have taken some of the clear-cut chances we created? Absolutely. Could the likes of Tounekti, Iheanacho, and Maeda perform at a higher level than they showed on the day? Without question.

But the encouraging part is that we are creating chances, and there’s a genuine sense that this team will soon hit the form we know these players are capable of.

The concern, however, is that Hearts continue to get the job done elsewhere, and following the latest round of Scottish Premiership results, Celtic now find themselves in the unusual position of looking up at the Edinburgh side sitting top of the table.

The Bhoys will need to find another gear quickly - both domestically and in Europe - with another busy week ahead.

You don't quite know what to expect from Celtic right now - on and off the park - and this weekend will likely be no different as we welcome Hibs to Celtic Park for their first visit of the season.
David Gray's side are set to be met with a wall of silence - at least for the opening 12 minutes - as fans continue to protest against the current regime, and the big hope is that this doesn't affect the players too much as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign.
On the pitch there's plenty of intrigue as the likes of Sebastian Tounekti, Kelechi Iheanacho & Michel-Ange Balikwisha look to make their mark on the starting XI, while young Colby Donovan continues to make a name for himself as he deputises at right back.
It's also the first time Celtic have played at home since the calamity of the summer transfer window and many fans will want to make their feelings known to the board. Whether that happens before or after minute 12 remains to be seen!

Celtic came away from Belgrade with a draw from last night’s Europa League opener against Red Star – but should it be viewed as a point gained, or two dropped?
Following a fairly even first half Brendan Rodgers made the call to replace Daizen Maeda with Kelechi Iheanacho at half time and just ten minutes later Celtic got their reward with the ex-Man City man tucking away a brilliant opening goal.
Frustration then stems from what looks like a very avoidable equaliser for the hosts as we first conceded and then properly failed to defend a corner, allowing Marko Arnautovic to draw his side level.
There would be no further scoring at the Rajko Mitic Stadim with both sides having to settle for a stalemate on Matchday 1, but Celtic can take great confidence from a breakthrough performance by 19-year-old Colby Donovan, as well as another impressive cameo by Iheanacho.
HOWEVER, questions do remain over Daizen Maeda’s place in the lineup following another out of sorts display, as well as what seems to be a disjointed midfield three at this moment in time.

Celtic are back in cup action this weekend with a short trip to Firhill to face Partick Thistle in Sunday’s League Cup Quarter Final.
