I’ve loved this story since I first heard it as a girl. You enjoy it too 😊
Celtic Noir this week is setting off on a trek into Troubadours, Love & Alchemy. With the help of Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael I'm beginning a journey into Love & Alchemy by way of the Troubadours ...
A Sword in A stine is my reworking of an old tale, and I introduce you to my favourite alternate universe - the planet Yardoz, the country Prydein and the Shapeshifters' Arms.Enjoy the story - I'm sure you'll recognise it 😹
I first heard that story when I was a wee kiddie, about seven years old. I’ve never forgot. And, every year I take the none snowdrops into the house on Imbolc Eve.
It’s our old story of the Crone of Winter passing the cup to the Maid of Spring.
So, for this podcast, I thought I’d tell you the story of the Woozles as I did promise you a story last time 😉.
Enjoy this lovely 100-year-old tale.
See you on the other side …

The turning of the year at Midwinter is so exciting for me, a time of planning and setting intentions … and of making sure my ideas of what is good line up right with the universe, with my otherworldly Gang of familiars and spirit family.
I tell you about how I do it - and you get a transcript too so you can check back on that if you’d like to come with me on this journey.
How ever you celebrate, I wish you the blessings of Midwinter and all the joys of Sun Return.
PS - I’ll have a story for you for next week in time for Sun Return 🌞

Gwydion is the son of one of our primal goddesses, Don, hence his name Gwydion fab Don – the fab means mothered by, from the body of. As such, he holds the essence of Britain in his hands and is its guardian.
Gwydion is a complex and highly significant figure in the Old British Ways, embodying the potent force of magic, intellect, and skilful trickery that instils wisdom into our bones so well earning his title as Master Enchanter of Britain. In Welsh, the Old British tongue, The Milky Way is known as Caer Gwydion, ‘Gwydion’s Castle’.
He’s a wonderful ally to have on your alchemical transformation journey and so he’s one of the powers who look after us in Phoenix Rising. Gwydion will never, ever let you down and will teach you all you need, often by japes jests and pranks, taking you on escapades that are right out of the box!
This is just one of Gwydion’s stories, I’ll be telling more here on this channel …
SHOW NOTES Death is the thing we can none of us get away from, although modern PC encourages us not to think about it. We're also encouraged to treat death as the most awful thing, incredibly sad, that we should show lots of deep emotion. And - and the medical profession has strict instructyions on this - to keep people alive at pretty well all costs. I don't subscribe to any of this. In the Old Ways we know death is the other half of life, that you cannot have one without the other, that its part of the natural cycle I had an interesting happening with a colleague yesterday - and we talked about it ...
