A product of the Celtic youth system, Mark was unfortunate to come into the first team around the time when fans had lost faith in the senior management running the club. It wasn’t a happy time to be around Celtic and Mark and others suffered from the general environment. Despite this he achieved what many of us could only dream of - puling on the hoo…
It;s exactly 14 days since we released our last matchday podcast. In that time, there’s been around 15million hours of alternjtive Celtic chat on other Celtic podcasts and almost the same number of Celtic games.
The bhoys briefly chat about the games and the “weak as piss” performance in the second half at Dundee. We discuss playing teams from Dundee almost every week and the excessive fixture calendar preventing any coaching, any rest and whether that impacts enjoyment.
We discuss transfer gossip, the forthcoming YB and Killie games and rarely mention THEM - apart from H reminiscing about telling David Murray he was talking shote about fixture congestion.

Over the near 20 years of the CU podcast we’ve been blessed with the array of Celtic fans, celebrities and players who have accepted our request to come on the podcast. Here at CU towers we like to mix up the guests between players and famous fans and following last weeks Brian O’Neil/Pierce Brosnan mash up (that joke only works if you watched the podc…
The story of Celtic is a fascinating one, with many different aspects to it.

Looking more like Pierece Brosnan than the fresh faced lad who played for his bhoyhhod heroes, Brian O’Neil sat down with Andrew H to discuss his Celtic career. For the younger listeners (do we have any) Brian was a tall elegant midfielder, turned in a centre half, turned into a striker. Yes - Brian was mucked about by managers working with the limite…
To quote Nick Berry - Every loser wins. Every dog has its day and Rangers had their day on Thursday. They played to the best of their ability and we played to the worst of ours and when both sides hit those extremes, the best they could muster was a 3-0 to bring themselves to with 11 (eleven) points of the finest team in Scotland.

It was the oddest of odd seasons. 50,000 supporters bought season books for games they never saw in person. Instead logging on to Celtic TV to watch games that were instantly forgettable as the players struggled to perform in empty stadia. Covid tests, social distancing rules and punishments that seemed to change with the wind in a season where mira…

The end of 2024 is nearly upon on us. The Rangers chat about VAR has come to a screeching halt now that there’s been a blatant error in their favour and the Celtic chat centres around how brilliant we are, how marvellous 2024 has been and could 2025 get even better.
With everything going on, Eddie & I decided to log-on and have a chat to discuss the recent events in our game, discuss the Motherwell & St Johnstone games have a preview of Jan 2nd and a brief chat about any ongoing transfer gossip.
Enjoy…and Happy New Year
