I have never been so happy after a loss and no I'm not talking solely about seeding in the playoffs. We went out and played the Bucks, who are revered by many as the best team in the Eastern Conference, without 3 starters and lost 127-121. This game was as impressive as it gets considering the team we rolled out there. Everybody stepped up. Marcus Smart may have had his best game of the season and JB wasn't far behind. Marcus had his season high 29pts and JB recorded his second career triple double highlighted by his 11ast. The Celtics ended the game with 30ast and looked so fluid out there. There are way more positives to take out of this game than negatives.
As far as standings go, there is a very likely chance the Celtics are going to end up in the 3rd seed which is probably the most ideal matchup in the first round. IF the Celtics do end up in third, we will face off against the Bulls which means we would be avoiding the Nets and also Toronto which means we don't have to worry about vaccination status either. I was a big proponent of playing our game and getting the highest seed possible to get home court advantage in the 2nd round but falling to third isn't worst case scenario at all as far as matchups go. There is still a lot of potential seed changes over the next 4 days so make sure to keep an eye out!
