The Celtics faced off against an extremely under manned Grizzlies team and escaped with a 102-100 win. This was supposed to be the first time the Celtics faced off against former Celtic Marcus Smart but he was one of 8 Grizzlies who were injured and unable to play. With that being said, this game was way closer than it should’ve been. The Grizzlies had a wide open 3 at the end of this game that would’ve resulted in a loss but the Celtics got lucky and then Porzingis ended the game with a beautiful block.

Porzingis was excellent in this one ending the game with 28pts 8reb along with 6blks!!! The Celtics were lucky he played well because both of their stars in Tatum and JB struggled in this one. JB had a tough shooting night ending the game with just 12pts on 5-16 from the field but it was Tatum and his 8 turnovers that really killed the Celtics momentum. Hauser continued his hot shooting while adding 15pts on 5-7 from 3 and we saw some big plays down the stretch from both White and Holiday but even they weren't great for most of it. This wasn't a great game by any means but they escaped with another W which is all that will matter by the end of the season!
