The Celtics absolutely demolished the Hornets from start to finish in this one. We saw all 5 starters play 23 minutes and they were nothing short of spectacular in those 23 minutes amassing an 81-54 lead before being subbed out midway through the third quarter. This game was dictated by the defense. They ended the game with 22 steals which is a franchise record and is absurd to think of but it led to a lot of very easy buckets. Every single starter had at least 1 steal with Tatum and Holiday leading the way with 3 steals each. On top of that we saw Porzingis have a nice block at the rim and then White added another 3 blocks! The entire starting group was just so much fun to watch.

As fun as they were, the bench wasn’t far off. We saw a lot of impressive performances throughout the bench in this one highlighted by Pritchard and Queta. While Pritchard had a poor shooting night, he ended the night with a team high 8ast and was running the show really well. Queta was the next guy that truly shined. In just 13 minutes, he added 12pts and 7reb with 5 of those being on the offensive end. The Celtics played 16 different guys tonight and every single one of them scored which was also awesome to see. It is a preseason game so you can’t read into it too much but it was certainly a fun game to watch and a great way to end the preseason!
