The Celtics fall to the Cavs 132-123 in OT and fall to 3-2 on the season after a 3-0 start. This was another game where the Celtics defense looked less than stellar as they allowed Caris Levert (known Celtics killer) and Donovan Mitchell to score 41pts a piece. While the Celtics duo, JB and Tatum, both scored 32pts tonight, there were plenty of lapses in their games. Tatum had 30pts at the end of the third and went on to score a combined 2 pts in the 4th quarter and OT and JB had 7 total turnovers. At the end of the day, we need them to tighten things up. I know that seems hard to ask on 32pt nights but it remains true.

Despite what plenty of people seem to be saying Kornet played a pretty solid game overall. Out of anyone that played 20+ minutes, he led the team with a +7 and contributed 4pts 5reb and 3ast. The numbers don't jump off the page at you but he was making an impact. Blake Griffin got more time and had 3 fouls in his first 2 minutes and still managed to play more time than Vonleh so I think it is safe to say Vonleh may have lost some trust in Joe. At the end of the day, the Celtics gave up 24pts off their 19 turnovers and got outrebounded 42-34 which was ultimately the reason we lost this one. The Celtics play again Sunday at 6:00 against the Wizards in hopes of turning this around and not falling down to .500.
