Celtics Shooting Woes & Horrific TO's Lead To In Season Tourney Loss
The Celtics faced off against the Pacers in this In Season Tournament Quarterfinals game and walked away with a disappointing 122-112 loss. This was a game that was once again played without Porzingis and it showed. The Indiana Pacers came into this game leading the NBA in almost every single offensive statistic you can name and are a fast, athletic great shooting team and you saw every bit of that tonight.
At times, you saw Joe put White and Holiday up in Haliburton's face pressuring him full court forcing the Pacers to slow down and it worked wonders in the first half as the Celtics held them to just 48pts but then the Pacers went on the score 37pts in both the 3rd and 4th quarters which is just not sustainable.
With that being said, the Celtics still made this a game and actually took a 99-98 lead with 4:19 left before the Pacers went on a 16-6 run taking a 9pt lead. You can't blame Joe for this loss as the timeouts were used perfectly in this game but you can blame horrible shooting (27% from 3) and all 18 of our turnovers. It's a tough way to end our In Season Tournament run but the Celtics fall to 15-5 on the season and still hold the best record in the Eastern Conference.
