The Celtics came into this game with a 2-1 record in the In Season Tournament needing a couple things to swing their way to win their group and advance. They needed the Nets to beat the Raptors and they needed to beat the Bulls by 23+pts. It seemed pretty unlikely before the game started but they managed to pull off a monster 124-97 win which put the Celtics chances on the Nets shoulders who also managed to pull off the win despite being tied with just 3 minutes left! With that being said, the Boston Celtics are officially the Group C Champions and will advance to the Quarter Finals in the In Season Tournament!!

We saw a lot of spectacular performances in this one but it was certainly highlighted by JB who ended the game with 30pts 8reb 6ast on super efficient shooting and didn’t force anything. It was a really special game from him but he wasn’t alone. Al Horford dialed back the time once again with a very impressive game with 16pts 9reb 6ast 2stl and 3blk but the very impressive part of his game was on the defensive side of the ball. His rotations were on point all night. Outside of those two, you name them, they probably played well. I know there are a lot of people who have criticized the In Season Tournament and I have been one of them but I was glued to the TV and my phone watching box scores and games all night and I can’t say I’ve done that this early in the season before especially with a blowout win so I would call it a success.
