The Celtics beat the Pacers 142-138 in OT and improve to 43-17 on the year! This was a fun one to watch because it was so back and forth but it was too close for comfort over a bad Pacers team. We saw the return of our preferred starting 5 and against a Pacers team that runs a very small lineup, it wasn't ideal. I will give credit to Joe for adapting and going smaller while limiting Horford to just 34min and Timelord to just 26 and letting guys like Brogdon and White get some much deserved time. Offensively, this game was great for the Celtics. The ball movement was great and the offensive rebounding was even better.

The Celtics had the opportunity to win this game with 2:15 left as they were up 4 but then Tatum got crossed from Haliburton who hit an easy 3 and then you saw JB miss 2 of 3 FTs keeping only a 2pt lead. Then Tatum goes and misses a layup and turns the ball over in back to back possessions and then we see another JB turnover. The Celtics should've had this one wrapped up but let it slip away. Fortunately they pulled it off in OT thanks in large part to 7 straight pts from Smart and a huge OREB that led to a Tatum putback to ice the game. Defensively, they left a lot to be desired but a win is a win. Time to improve and move on to Philly Saturday night!
