In today’s episode, we showcase two rising stars within the pharmacy profession and describe their viewpoints on the importance of DEI work within pharmacy practice. Dr. Yodit Teklu is currently an PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy resident with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Her work and practice is rooted in advancing and serving the medically underrepresented and underserved. Joining Dr. Teklu is Dr. Maya Bell, who is a PGY2 infectious diseases pharmacy resident with the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Dr. Bell has started her career with focuses on underserved health and the importance of health equity.
