Throughout this time of [re]Vision we’ve learned the importance of having God’s vision for our individual lives and for the collective Body of Christ. In 1 Cor. 12, the Apostle Paul teaches us of the very intentional design and desire of God to place us all in the Body without competitiveness and discord. In today’s teaching we’ll learn the specifics of HOW to create unity in the Body of Christ through this God ordained [re]Vision.

We’ve learned that the Children of Israel rejected God when they rejected His vision (Num. 14:11). They were focused on their own misguided individual visions. But Jesus prayed that we would be ONE. This means that our individual visions should be a part of the collective vision God has for the church. We’ll now look more closely at how our individual roles come together to fulfill the greater desire of God’s heart for the Body of Christ.

We have previously learned that many of the Children of Israel did not embrace God’s vision for their lives, but instead came up with a new vision and sought to fulfill it. This caused them to lose God’s favor and be forbidden to receive what He had promised them (Num. 14:36-45).

The foresight of a God-inspired future. As Christians, it should be our desire to have GOD VISION. We should desire to see what He sees for ourselves and the world around us. God Vision is about much more than the function of our eyesight or imagination. Nearly everyone has that capacity, yet there are times when individuals see the exact same thing and interpret and them differently.

In regards to mountains (problems, trials, and challenges in life) most believers only apply Matthew 17:20, “And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
