Center Point Assembly

Sunday, December 13, 2020. Continuing on in our study on 2 Peter we are titling the message "Relentless Deception". I'm asking those studying along with us to read the entire 2nd chapter and see how directly Peter deals with the false teachers and prophets of his day. Notice also the punishment that is in store for them from God. We must understand how God detests those that falsely speak for Him and in so doing lead so many astray. In our message today we are emphasizing the urgency of truth in today's "end time's" world day as un-truth is so prevalent all around us. Deception of all kinds is the enemy's number one strategy to destroy us. He doesn't care how he traps us through his lies and deceit as long as he does. However, we also find that God is able to save those who are dedicated to Him from the deceiver even in the darkest hour of evil. God knows who we are, and He will protect us as we trust in Him... Be Blessed as y

First off apologies for the crackling in the recording, will correct for next week.

Sunday, December 6, 2020, 2 Peter - Uncovering False Teachers & Prophets. This is our 5th message in our study on this short yet powerful book. Peter is beginning in the 2nd chapter to uncover the false teachers and false prophets that were infiltrating the early church. We all know that anything false hates truth and it certainly doesn't want to be uncovered. The first thing that has to be done when dealing with any kind of issue is to first recognize that the issue exists. So this week we are defining what a false teacher and false prophet are and establishing how dangerous they are to a person and to the Church. Peter is writing to true believers about the false teachers, so this is going to be very direct and head-on. If you're a true believer, don't be offended with the confrontational approach that Peter must take. Remember, in Satan's world of attacking God and His children, there are no rules. Study along with us and get ready for some hard work. The Truth will set you free.... Be Blessed.

Sunday, November 29, 2020. We are continuing our study of 2 Peter - "Certainty of God's Truth". Today we are finishing up Chapter 1 where Peter is establishing the absolute Truth of God's Word as the very Word of God. He is setting up his argument against the false teachers that he begins to deal with in the next chapter. For us in today's mixed-up world we also need to be fully convinced as well that God's Word is absolute truth and can be trusted in every situation. We are building a solid foundation based on God's Holy Word. The more clearly we see and understand TRUTH the better we can stand against Partial-Truth which is a very serious enemy. Study along with us and be encouraged that God is in control as we fully lean into Him and His Word. Be Blessed

Sunday, November 22, 2020. We're continuing in the study of 2 Peter and the title of today's message is "Making One's Election Sure". What does that mean? It means that we can have assurance of our eternal salvation while we are living in this upside-down crazy and evil world. That's what Peter is telling the early church in his day as they were beginning to deal with false teaching coming into the church. It's only been 30-some years since Jesus died and rose again and the church is already being bombarded with false teaching... No wonder our world is spinning so much more out of control with all the years the enemy has had since then. Peter is going to give us a good strategy to strengthen ourselves and to make our spiritual foundation strong and able to stand against the false narrative of his and our day. We need to "participate in the divine nature of God if we are going to experience His divine nature". Watch and study with us as we dig into the Living Word of God to make our election sure...
