Center Point Assembly

Pastor Mike begins a series on the Holy Spirit by first talking about the Trinity and describing why it is so important to our Christian faith. As difficult as it is to understand, the Trinity is vital to our walk of faith in our salvation and how we pray. Learning how God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit loves, relates to and interacts with each other gives us a model of how we are to do the same with God and with people. We try our best to gain an understanding of how "God is one, yet three" without this being a contradictory statement, and then seeing how this sets Christianity apart from every other world religion. We describe the specific roles of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit in the process of our salvation and how we pray. This is one those sermons that needs to be listened to possibly more than once to catch it... My prayer is that the Holy Spirit enlightens your mind and heart as you listen in...

Pastor MIke presents the topic of Love as something that the world declares that it needs more of. So the question is asked: is love, the way the world defines it, the missing ingredient that would solve all the world's problems? What do you think? Clearly love is the essence of God, and the world needs that, but is that what the world recognizes as what's missing? Does the world even know that God is love? We define Love in this message and clearly identify what kind of Love the world really needs... Listen in you may find it interesting that the world's version of love is really different than what God offers. God's love is what the world needs more of if they would only accept it...

Guest Seminar speaker Carey Waldie presents a three part one evening discussion on Philosophy, Truth and Logic in today's world of mixed messages. Pastor Carey leads us in understanding many truths about the fallacies and the strategy of the "worldly system" to sway the Christian into believing the many lies of the enemy. He gives us good insights into how we watch for and position ourselves to be able to give good biblical answers to the many questions that try to destroy the truth of God's word. To help you navigate this session, he breaks his presentation into 3 main areas. He begins with the area of logic and philosophy and then at the 56:30 mark he begins the second section on truth. The third section begins around the 1:40:17 marker where he speaks on media and the arts. You are encouraged to listen in and learn from Pastor Carey...

As we continue to discuss the interaction between Jesus and Peter, we see Jesus responding to the truth and honesty of Peter's "Real Answers". Jesus wants us to be honest not only with Him, but also with ourselves. It's as we give "real answers" can we be first of all rescued from our sin, secondly restored to right relationship with God and then useful in building the Kingdom. Let's be real with Jesus and allow Him to work mightily in us...
