Believe itor not, it all starts from an overabundance of… cherries. From a fortunate series of events, having too many cherries can transform into an opportunity to SEEK those around you. In the world of chickens, there are many variations. There are some on that demand attention and some are overlooked. Much like the culture we live in, we have neighbors all around us, and God calls us to truly SEE them as He sees them.   Pastor Lowell and Pastor Billy hang out in chicken world, aka- Billy’s backyard. After discussing a unique chicken, they flow into how many of us treat our neighbors. Our goal is to SEE our neighbors in a biblical way. The main Bible passage referenced is Luke 16:19-31. In the chaos of our world over the past few weeks, do we ever stop and think about our neighbor? The theme song for Mr. Roger’s neighborhood ends with the question, “Please, won’t you be my neighbor?”   Did you know 1/3 of all Americans have never met their neighbor? Check out the article.   Billy and Lowell begin a discussion on God’s view of our neighbors. In the podcast, three main points were brought up concerning our relationship to the neighbors around us. God calls us to LOVE our neighbor. God calls us to SEE our neighbor. God calls us to SEEK our neighbor. The main passages referenced in the podcast were Luke 10:25-37 and Romans 15:1-7.

Lowell and Billy are moving on up!!! With the recent news that CenterPoint is moving out of their office location, the guys have discovered some spiritual lessons through this process. Namely, we are different. That’s right, Christians are different. How so? It relates to Our View of our Situation, Our View of People, and our View of the Lord. The main passage referenced is 1 Peter 2:11-12 11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. 12Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

Some things are worth more than others… and the problem is, we rarely measure worth correctly. In Luke 7, we see an interaction between Jesus, His disciples, and an important man. The important man, the Centurion, is called worthy by the disciples and unworthy by himself. Yet, Jesus marveled at him! So which is it? Is the centurion worth much or worth little??? God uses a very different standard of our worth. Our true worth of is determined by what God has done in our lives. In Christ, we are… Clean and Forgiven – Colossians 2:13 – God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses… Sons and Daughters – Galatians 4:6-7 – God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. Heirs with Christ – Romans 8:17 – we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.

Our podcast deals with a common issue for people – Discouragement. Lowell and Billy make a strong case that believers should be like their pet dogs! You’ll have to listen in to fully understand. They build their case upon 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
