The Central Bank of India is discussing the adoption of their CBDC. They claim that cryptocurrency is "designed to bypass the established and regulated intermediation and control arrangements crucial for ensuring integrity and stability of monetary and financial ecosystem." The central bank also cannot define what a cryptocurrency is. Without a clear definition, how can they impose restrictions? Maybe these restrictions must be broad and vague which will encompass many forms of currency which could further reduce freedom of finance.
