Exalt God by respecting authority. The name of God is exalted, and the good news of Jesus is illustrated when believers submit to those in authority. As believers, honor, obey, and seek the good of their leaders, they are obeying and honoring God.

A pastor’s character matters. A pastor must lead the church in moral and doctrinal purity. If a pastor lives in error or sin, he will lead the church away from the holiness of Christ. Therefore, a church must wisely examine a man before placing him in a position of leadership.

In this world's chaos, peace can be found only from the Lord. As our minds are stayed upon the Lord, He provides us with His peace.

God’s future plans are certain even in times of man’s opposition. God’s people can be confident that God will keep His promises to judge the wicked and do good for His people.

Respectfully watch over those who lead. Pastors have the responsibility to lead the church by example and through the Word of God. While the pastors must lead in sound doctrine and godliness, the church has the responsibility to protect her purity by honoring faithful pastors and correcting failing pastors.

Godly women are essential for a healthy church. The church is instructed to care for, honor, and encourage the service of the women God has gifted to them. Also, the church must show a special care for its widows who are in need. When the women are serving the Lord well, His name is glorified, and the church is strengthened.

Ignore and forsake sin, know and follow Jesus! Jesus’ command to all His disciples is this: “Follow Me.” Because of Christ’s sufficient work, believers can know Christ deeply and follow His example and commands. The follower of Jesus must keep their eyes on the Savior.
