Supplement teaching for the twelfth lesson in the discipleship book, Foundations.

Do not lose heart. Everlasting righteousness is coming. God has promised a future of everlasting righteousness to His people. We can be confident in this promise because God cares for His own.

Make your requests to a compassionate God. God delights to hear and answer the prayers of His people. In humility, we can bring any request before the Lord with confidence that He will hear us and answer according to His goodness.

Love like a Christian. We love God and others because of the great love God has shown to us. A Christian’s love mirrors the selfless love of Christ.

Confess your sins to a merciful God. God’s people are forgiven in Christ. Yet, we are called to confess our sins to God in humility before Him. God is merciful and forgives the one who is humble and repentant.

Humbly approach God in prayer. God’s people have the privilege of confidently approaching God in prayer. Humility is the heart attitude required when we come into His presence.

God hears and acts on our prayers. God delights to hear the prayers of His people. When His people pray, God listens and acts for His name’s sake. We can confidently pray knowing that God cares for us.

Those who oppose God will not stand. Many have and will resist God in this wicked world. But God opposes those who oppose Him. He is the righteous judge and no sin will remain unpunished.

Transgression will not win. Wickedness and sin reign in our world today. Satan holds great power over many. But sin and Satan will not reign forever. Soon the Lord will bring both down to judgment.

Look up! The King is coming. Jesus is King and has been given a Kingdom. His Kingdom will graciously be shared with all of His people. Soon Jesus will return and His people will enjoy His kingdom forever!
