Episode #031 - On today’s episode of the podcast I had the pleasure of speaking to Patrick Donohoe.

Patrick is the President and CEO of Paradigm Life which he in 2007 after learning from his mentor Kim Butler about financial strategies outside of Wall Street.

With a background in economics and marketing, Patrick immediately realised the opportunity to teach investors, business owners, professionals and families on a large scale using modern digital media and communication technology.

Since 2007 Paradigm Life has worked with thousands of individuals. He has even shared the stage with financial experts such as Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump Jr.

Now Patrick is the first guest on the podcast to discuss personal finance and its importance. He was kind enough to provide a more simplistic approach so that the episode can enjoyed by all levels of expertise within the personal finance space.

We specifically discuss the ‘infinite banking policy’ – a risk free investment strategy, which I urge you all to listen extremely carefully to as it’s something you should definitely take away from this episode and implement.

Episode #30 - On today’s episode of the podcast I had the pleasure of speaking to Ali Almossawi.

Ali is the author of Bad Arguments, Bad Choices, and The Point of Pointless Work. His books have been read by 3.2 million readers, translated into 21 languages, and have sold over 300,000 copies in print. In his other career, he leads an engineering and design team at Apple.

You heard that right being an author isn’t Ali’s full-time gig. He has had over 3.2 million readers all whilst having a full-time job. This side hustle, or what Ali calls his side passion, is something he tackles in his mornings and evenings.

This is something I imagine a lot of you can relate to so in this discussion I delve deeply into how Ali balances his time between his job’s whilst giving his all to both careers.

I also ask him as many of you are probably already wondering, if this man is already a successful author, why on earth hasn’t he quit his full-time job and gone all in on his side passion.

We also dive into the details his most successful book Bad arguments, where we discuss some key argumentative tactics and logical fallacies you can apply to your everyday life.

Episode #026 - Today’s episode of the podcast is going to be a little different. It’s just me, no guest, just me myself and I talking into the microphone. This is episode 26 of the podcast and I’m yet to do a solo episode. It’s something I’ve been holding off doing for a while and I have no real excuse as to why. I’ve loved having the guest format so far. It’s been an incredible way of networking with some inspiring people and getting my podcast off the ground, but I feel now is the time to incorporate some solo episodes as a way of building more of a brand around myself rather than just the guy that asks questions. I want to also use it as a way as becoming more comfortable talking over an extended period of time as I’d love to start guesting on other people’s podcasts but I don’t want to hop on a call with another great podcast host who’s taking time out of their day to let me guest on their show and then have nothing to say. I want the episode to be the best it can be and to do so I’m going to have to become better at talking about myself and what I do.

So now diving into what todays episode is actually going to be about. Podcasting is something that I’ve always been incredibly interested in. I’ve been actively listening to podcasts for a while now, in particular business podcasts and it just sparked an idea. Why on earth am I consuming this content where somebody is interviewing this incredibly successful business owner when I can also be a producer of this content?! If I start my own podcast not only will I gain the same knowledge that I’d be learning by listening to somebody else’s show, I’m going to be getting my own name out there, being the person speaking 1 to 1 with this successful individual and building a brand around my name?! It was a no brainer in my eyes.

So, for anyone listening who is on the fence about starting a podcast, this episode is going to be about why you need to start now. Or for those of you that haven’t previously thought about it or wanted to, it may also change your perception.

Episode #025 - On today’s episode of the Podcast I had the pleasure of speaking to Allan Dib. Allan is a serial entrepreneur, rebellious marketer and technology expert. He has started, grown and successfully exited multiple businesses in various industries.

A prime example of this is through his book The One Page Marketing Plan. Allan wrote the book he wished he had when starting his entrepreneurial journey. To date, he's sold over 200,000 copies which has helped entrepreneurs worldwide troubleshoot their marketing plans and unlock the door to exponential growth. Huffington Post named it one of the "top ten marketing books for small-to-medium-sized businesses."

Allan is an expert when it comes to marketing. You could have the most incredible product or service in the world, but if nobody knows about it what’s the point. You need to be a incredible marketer and Allan will teach you how. At the end of the day, the best marketer always wins.

It is generally agreed upon that entrepreneurship is the engine that drives an economy upwards and is primarily responsible for its growth.

Entrepreneurs create jobs, bring better and more affordable products and services to the marketplace, resulting in greater societal health, overall wealth and a vastly improved standard of living. And, while we treasure the entrepreneur, one needs not start their own business in order to be one. One can be entrepreneurial within a company setting and can lead from anywhere they happen to be positioned.

Bob is the co-author of the international bestseller, The Go-Giver and a much sought-after speaker at sales and leadership conferences sharing the platform with everyone from today’s business leaders and broadcast personalities to even a former U.S. President. He shows that companies both large and small that conduct their businesses “The Go-Giver Way” are not only of much greater value to their customers; they are also significantly more functional, and profitable, as well.

Episode #023 – On today’s episode of the podcast I had the pleasure of speaking to Leonard Kim. He’s an award-winning marketer, speaker and the author of Ditch the Act with McGraw-Hill Business. Leonard specifically specialises in Executive/Personal Branding, Employee Engagement Workshops and Healthcare.

As I mention time and time again, I use this podcast as a platform to share the failures and lessons learned from some of the top entrepreneurs as these are things we don’t normally get to hear about. Leonard has definitely had his fair share of failures. From losing jobs, to having to move back in with his grandparents, to being overworked and underpaid. He was literally worked to the point he almost gave up on everything. But in 2013 his life took a turn for the best and he never looked back. He discovered his passion for writing and by the end of 2014 his publications had over 10 million reads in total. An incredible achievement for such a short period of time. By the end of 2015, Leonard started working in academic medicine and launched an executive branding agency called InfluenceTree on the side. Both things excelled, heavily. The rest is history.

In this episode I delve into Leonard’s struggles and discuss the mental health issues he experienced. We discuss how he was then able to turn this all around and was then able to achieve everything he has done to date. It’s on hell of a story.

This is an incredibly interesting journey and I urge you all to listen closely. It may even provoke thoughts with regards to your perception towards mental health. And at the end of the day, if I’m able to assist even 1 person in opening up about any issues they may currently be having and help set them on the path to recovery, I will be forever fulfilled. Episode #022 - On today’s episode I had the pleasure of speaking to Chris Widener who’s an incredible author and motivational speaker. I’m going to start by listing this man’s accolades because they’re definitely something to boast about: He’s a member of the motivational speakers hall of fame, he’s one of Inc magazines top 100 leadership speakers and was named one of the top 50 speakers in the world. Having completed over 2500 speaking gigs I think it’s safe to say Chris is worthy of those titles.

This is episode 22 of CEO Journals and I’m yet to delve into mentorship and I don’t know how. However, I’m glad I’ve left this until now as there is no better person on this topic than Chris. He was mentored by the 2 speaking legends Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn. If you don’t know who either of these men are, simply google motivational business quotes and all you’ll see are quotes from these two legends. Chris actually had the please in co-authoring the 2005 book Twelve Pillars with Jim Rohn himself.

Chris and I actually discuss the importance of mentorship and how he’s found his own mentors and become the mentor to many others over his career. And we also delve deep into authenticity and integrity and we find that in this industry these two things you definitely have to be wary of.

I can assure you Chris is one of the most experienced and motivational people I’ve spoken to on the show so far, so I urge you to listen to everything this man has to say.
