Apparently booking guests and syncing calendars to record a podcast episode is more challenging than I anticipated, so I’m flying solo on today’s show and I’m going to take you allllll the waaaaaayy back….to last year.

To March and April of 2017 to be precise. Those are the first two months that the Certified Comic Shop officially became a thing. During the show I’m going to talk about these first two months extensively and what it was like starting an online comic shop.

WHAT IS A COMIC-PRENEUR?

A comic-preneur is a person who is trying to make a living selling comics to – or providing related services for – the comic book collecting community at large.

So a comic-preneur could be someone like me, who is finally starting to chase his dream of opening up a comic shop. Or that person who is selling comics on eBay or via Social Media as a way to earn some extra cash. Maybe it’s that person who’s trying to start their own comic book pressing service. Heck, even an owner of a real life, brick and mortar, local comic book shop is a comic-preneur by my definition. So really a comic-preneur can be all kinds of different things.

 

THE MISSION OF CERTIFIED COMIC TALK

The goal of this podcast is to bring you, the comic-preneur, actionable tips, tricks, strategies and tactics that you can implement to help grow your business TODAY!
