There is a vast loving intelligence that is traditionally called 'God' but which we now need to understanding in a radically new evolutionary way. God is wounded just as we are. Coming into communion with God redeems the suffering of this bittersweet world. This is more than just an experience of transcendental bliss, it is a poignant experience of profound compassion.
