Chainsaw Buffet Podcast

Charlie and Dylan from Chainsaw Buffet and Kevin from the OSMCast sit down with Richard Epcar (Batou from Ghost in the Shell, Jigen from Lupin III) at MTAC Omega and talk about Richard's prolific career as a voice actor, director, and ADR writer/supervisor.

In this episode, Charlie, Dylan, Jen, John, and Liz talk about the upcoming conventions Momocon and MTAC. We also discuss the controversies around Street Fighter x Tekken on-disc DLC, Mass Effect day-one DLC, and Cross Assault. We also give our thoughts on the board games Wise and Otherwise, Poo, Dungeon Quest, and Quelf, as well as The Secret World of Arrietty.

In this admitted filler episode, Chad, Charlie, Dylan, and John talk about Transformers/GI Joe crossover toys, the Double Fine Adventure Kickstarter, upcoming (overlapping) video game releases, Modern Warfare 3's Infected mode, and the last episode of Good Eats. We also shamelessly plug Chad's upcoming dieselpunk novel Iron Heart and help Charlie pick a new favorite country.

In the podcast's longest interview to date, John sits down to talk with Ali Hillis ("Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", "Final Fantasy XIII-2", "Mass Effect 3") at length about her life, her career, and her charitable efforts.

Charlie, Dylan, Jen, John, and Liz sit down to talk about their trip to Geek Media Expo volume 3... if they can stay on topic! Then, we talk to Lucas Leverett, con chair of MTAC and GMX, about running two conventions, the future of GMX, and MTAC's upcoming move into the Nashville Convention Center.

With Dylan absent, Charlie and John decide to do a brief re-cap of New York Comic-Con 2011, talk about Alton Brown's "Fanifesto" and general rules for meeting celebrities, and talk about their upcoming appearance at Volume 3 of the Geek Media Expo.

After a brief hiatus, the podcast returns with Charlie, Jen, and John reliving their misadventures at Anime Weekend Atlanta. Then, Charlie and John sit down with the Vice President of MTAC, Holly Ray, to discuss the convention's move to a new location and what it means for the future.

Dylan, Geoffrey, and John talk about the upcoming football season and their fantasy teams.

Edit: Apologies to Joe Theisman. It was Joe Namath who hit on Suzy Kolber. A slip of the tongue on my part. -John

Chad, Charlie, Dylan, and John start out discussing the unceremonious death of the HP Touchpad. Then we talk about @ssaapodcast's assertation that Bones is the reverse Gonzo (and we don't mean the doctor from Star Trek, the weirdo Muppet, that Fox show, or journalism... although we do talk about Muppets later). In light of the 20th anniversary of the Super Nintendo, we talk about our favorite games from that generation. And to tie it all together, we discuss why ALF was a pedophile.
