  • The Scripted Bowl?

    This week Max and Avery had a fully loaded episode! They kicked if off (no pun intended) by recapping the NFL Pro Bowl game and discussing their opinions on it being a flag football game. Next they show their excitement for the highly anticipated SUPER BOWL!! They reveal who they are routing for in the game as well as who they think is actually going to win. They also discuss who is "supposed" to win according to a potentially leaked script for the game.  Next they discussion some of the current events going on with Iowa football, such as Brian Ferentz new contract as well as Riley and Kevon playing in this years Senior Bowl.  Lastly, they move on from football and transition into basketball starting with their Iowa Hawkeyes. They recap the game against Illinois, admit they are currently watching the Purdue game live, and give their predictions for the upcoming game against Minnesota.  Finally, they end with the NBA update.  Max talks a little bit about the Kings, Avery gives and update about the Bucks, and they both discuss some of the big news and trades that have occurred lately in the NBA.

  • Fields is Here to Stay

    This week Max and Avery recap the AFC and NFC championship games and reveal their excitement (or lack there of) for the upcoming Super Bowl game.  They also give some NFL updates including some player news as well as new coaching hires.  Next, they recap some college basketball and give an update on the performance of the Iowa Hawkeyes Men's Basketball Team.     This week Max and Avery invite a special guest on, Max's friend Zach.  They start off the episode by going through all of the games that happened during super wild card weekend.   Next they make their predictions for the upcoming matchups this weekend in the divisional round.  Finally they ended the episode by giving a quick update on the Iowa Men's Basketball Team.  Comment below which quarterback in this divisional round has the most to prove.

  • Wild Card Weekend

    This week Max and Avery discuss the NFL Wild Card Weekend match ups and make their predictions for which teams will advance and which teams are going to come up short (2:55).  Then during this weeks Bear Central they went through the different possibilities for how the Bears will use their first overall pick in the draft (34:00).  Next they discuss the results of the college football playoff games starting with the FCS game, North Dakota State vs South Dakota State (52:25), and ending with the FBS game, TCU vs Georgia (54:15).  Finally, they end the episode with giving a basketball update as the Iowa Hawkeyes recover from a few tough losses (61:10).

    This week Max and Avery start the episode by sending thoughts and prayers to Damar Hamlin. They recapped the playoffs and the uncertainty of teams because of the cancellation of Bills/Bengals game. Next, they continue there journey talking about the Bears and the potential number 1 pick. Then they discussed FCS National Championship with NDSU vs SDSU the (DAKOTA BOWL), then moved onto recap the semifinals of the FBS College football playoffs. Then the episode was concluded.

    This week Max and Avery start the episode by asking their listeners what their experiences are with football burnout near the end of the season.  Then they recapped the most exciting World Cup final that they have ever seen (4:37).  Next they begin their football talk by going through the current playoff picture and playoff scenarios starting with the AFC (8:00).  They next discussed the same for the NFC (28:25).  Finally, the ended the episode with Bear Central where they recapped the last couple of Bears' games before making predictions for the upcoming game against the Lions (53:29).
