In this episode I chat with Jess, a 28 year old mum from the UK, Jess has hypoachondroplasia which is similar to the most common form of dwarfism, achondroplasia but people with hypoachondroplasia tend to be slightly taller and more proportionate. Jess is really open and honest in this episode which I really appreciate, she discusses the issues around strangers staring at her, feeling uncomfortable in her own clothes and not being able to buy from the children’s section like some other people with dwarfism. In a world where clothing can seem really inaccessible and quite disheartening Alana makes the best of what she’s got and she is a real inspiration for people around her due to her really positive energy and her outlook on life; she’s a glass half full kind of girl which I really love and I think she’s really inspiring to anyone that that follows her on social media.
