Thursday afternoon near Queen Creek Road and Price Road, a reported aggravated assault occurred in a parking lot following a verbal altercation between two adult males. On Friday, August 29, near Warner Road and Cooper Road, a catalytic converter theft in a residential parking lot was reported. Residents observed suspicious activity around 3 AM. Detectives are gathering additional information; there have been no arrests, case number 24-11944.
Friday evening in the area of Pecos Road and Arizona Avenue, officers responded to a domestic disturbance resulting in the alleged assault of one individual. Medical personnel provided on-scene assistance for minor injuries. One adult male was taken into custody, and charges are pending, case number 24-11973.
Saturday afternoon, at the intersection of Chandler Blvd and Dobson Road, a shoplifting incident was reported at a local grocery store. Loss prevention staff identified a suspect who fled on foot with merchandise. Police are requesting public assistance to locate a suspect described as an adult female, late 30s, about 5’6”, slender build, with brown hair in a ponytail, last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants, case number 24-12011.
Over the week there was a continued pattern of property crimes, notably vehicle-related thefts and commercial burglaries, as well as increased reports of vandalism at local businesses.
