Can you be both optimistic and realistic at the same time? I’d like to think you can. When you are realistic you are relying on the facts and reality and when you are optimistic, you are relying on emotion and feelings. When coupled together these two can be very powerful as long as you can recognize the difference. When we were young, we had the optimism to feel like we could do or be anything. Where in your life do you need more optimism?

If you just succumb to feelings rather than being rational, you could end up bailing on something before it has a chance to work. When you make big decisions, stay committed and stay true. Be sure to focus on the “why” you made that decisions so you can use that a fuel to help push you forward through the doubt.

We need both fact and feeling to make decisions and live life, but when we don’t separate the two and recognize the difference when making a decision, we are almost guaranteed to make more bad decisions. When have you made decisions from an emotional state and how did it impact your decisions?

Much like when grinding down and shaping a piece of metal on a grinding wheel, we need to make sure we stop, step back, and look at what we are doing and how things are coming along to make sure we are getting the results we want. Look back with clarity on where you were and where you are now and ask yourself what has changed and how far have you come? That will enable you to move forward with more power and certainty than ever before.

Accountability; that’s the secret. Often, people just don’t know where to go to get it. Where to find people to hold them accountable at a high level, every day. The other possibility is that they just don’t want it. Some people just don’t seek the structure of accountability in their life. Where in your life do you want and need more accountability?

Sometimes when we just feel off, all we need is a little push forward to balance out again. Like the initial push of the pedal when riding a bike, we slowly get ourselves moving in the direction we want to go and then build momentum as we continue to move forward. A push anywhere throughout your life can be all you need, be it spiritual, exercise, family, really anything can help.

It is easy to get lost in the chaos of abundance when your plans actually produce the results that you wanted. When things are just constantly going right and you get caught up in the excitement you can quickly lose focus. You can slip right into thinking about the few things that didn’t go well and what you could have done differently. Once your mind goes there, your actions follow. Where in your business or life have you lost focus?

It’s gotta be me. We can only control ourselves and how we react to things. We don’t need to wait on others to come to us or to trigger a change, we can do it ourselves. It always comes down to us - it has to be me. Where in your life are you waiting on someone else?
